We are delighted that Mrs Jo Tucker, a PHS member and a former head mistress of a local school, has agreed to lead our new Junior Heritage Group which meets in Paignton once a month on a Saturday Morning. The aim of the group is for children (ages 8-13 years) to explore areas of local history that interest them, with parents/guardians of the children also welcome to attend.
This new initiative has been kindly supported by Torbay Council Community Fund and has enabled us to purchase a variety of materials such as the drawstring junior explorer bags, pictured above, and a badge making machine.
