Preston Dead End Kids Band
The Dead End Kids were a comedy group of young actors in American comedy films. The film, or films,were made beginning in 1937. So we suspect that the photograph dates from the 1940s. The group of actors went on to become The Bowery Boys in films that I can remember from the 1950s. Ah memories of Saturday afternoon matinee’s.This would place the photograph prior to 1950.
But what was the event, and who were these “Dead End Kids.”
