We are saddened to hear of the passing of Jill Farrant, who died peacefully at Rowcroft Hospice on 2nd August 2026.
Jill was well known and much loved in Paignton and across Torbay. As co-director and company leader of Bijou Theatre Productions, she took over the group from its founder, Greta Huggins in 1983 and dedicated many years to inspiring performers and audiences alike. She also taught drama at Paignton School, now known as Paignton Academy, where she encouraged generations of young people to develop their confidence and creativity.
